This is very important for water absorption and storage and solutions for handling inundation
The first location visited was the construction of Bangkong 1 and 2 reservoirs on Jalan Masjid 3, RW 06, Cipayung. This five-meter-deep reservoir with a wet cross-sectional area of around 5,000 square meters was built to accommodate 40,000 cubic meters of water.
"Hopefully, it can handle inundation as high as 5 cm in the area," he expressed.
Construction of Mandor Hasan Reservoir BeginsHe then inspected the construction of a reservoir on Jalan Mandor Hasan 1 Bambu Apus, Cipayung. The reservoir, called Black Bamboo Reservoir, covers an area of approximately 2.2 hectares. However, the wet area used is around 5,000 square meters. This reservoir would be used to overcome inundation in the surrounding area.
"This is very important for water absorption and storage and solutions for handling inundation," he asserted.
Later on, there would be a park around the reservoir for the convenience of residents in interacting and as a tourist destination.
Cipayung Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Dian Kartika added the construction of Bangkong 1 and 2 reservoirs on Jalan Masjid 3 has currently progressed to around 60 percent. Meanwhile, on Jalan Mandor Hasan 1, the work has only reached around 10 percent.
"It is targeted to be completed in the upcoming December," she stated.
